The theatre and soda fountain can be reached from most locations in and around Los Angeles by taking the 5 or the 405 Freeways to the 101 Hollywood Freeway.Take the 101 to Highland/Hollywood Bowl exit and head south on Highland to Hollywood Boulevard. Turn right onto Hollywood Boulevard and the theatre is on your left.

For special needs and bus drop-offs in front of the theatre, follow the same directions as above, but make a right on Franklin Boulevard (which is one street north of Hollywood Boulevard), make a left onto Orange Dr. and then turn left on Hollywood Boulevard. This will enable you to drop-off your passengers in front of the theatre.

For your convenience, public transportation options are available when visiting the El Capitan Theatre.

A Metro Red Line subway station is located across the street from the El Capitan Theatre in the Hollywood and Highland Entertainment Complex. Red Line base fares are $1.25 for each one-way trip. The Red Line runs every 10-20 minutes between 4:30 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. even on weekends. Parking is available at most stations along the Red Line. HOLLYWOOD & HIGHLAND PARKING FACILITY, (6801 Hollywood Blvd.) is located directly across the street from the El Capitan Theatre. Enter the parking structure from either Highland Ave. or Orange Dr. Partial parking validation subject to availability.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Saving a large quantity of seats in the theater is not permitted. Please arrive at the theater at least 45 minutes to one hour prior to show time. All general-admission ticket holders must wait in line (including group sales customers). The only exceptions are VIP ticket holders. Saving places in line is not permitted.

Assistive listening devices are available at the theater at no cost and require a driver's license or credit card as security. Guests requiring this service should see the theater manager 30 minutes prior to show time. Groups with members requiring assistive listening devices, please contact the theater at (323) 467-9545.

Seating accessible by wheelchairs is available on the main floor (street level) of the theater. Guests requiring extra assistance may be permitted to enter the theater before the doors are opened. Please see the theater manager 30 minutes prior to show time or call the theater at (323) 467-9545 and alert us to any special needs so the theater can be prepared to serve you.

Restrooms are located on the lower and balcony levels of the theater. Two wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on the main floor (street level).

Tickets will be available for pick-up at the El Capitan Theatre box office. Tickets will be held under the purchaser's name, and this will be the only person authorized to pick up tickets. A photo ID is required. It will be the sole responsibility of the person picking up tickets to distribute them to his or her party. Tickets for late arrivals cannot be held at the box office or at the door.
