Raven Teams With Make-A-Wish to Brighten Children's Lives
Four special little girls had their wish to meet Raven-Symoné granted during a surprise trip to New York City care of Disney and the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. The girls, ages 7 to 12, were flown in from Kentucky, Philadelphia, Illinois and California with their families to be Raven's VIP guests for the launch party of the "That's So Raven" Mix Stick music player, fragrance and cosmetics.
Armani, Samantha, Alecia and Candi had their own private "green room," where stylists gave them a fun That's So Raven look with outfits from the clothing line based on the hit Disney Channel show. As they sat in their personalized "That's So Raven" director's chairs, makeup artists used the new Raven cosmetic line to add a little sparkle and shine to go with the twinkle already in the girls' eyes. It was then on to the hairstylist, who fitted them with hair ornaments, hats and a special new style for the big event.
After all the pampering, the four posed for photographers during a private shoot, and then it was time to meet Raven. The group discussed everything from their new clothes to their favorite "That's So Raven" episode to slumber parties. After the girl talk, it was off to the launch party, but not before each wish child was interviewed by Monica of Disney Channel 411.
At the end of the night, the girls went home with several "That's So Raven" outfits, goodie bags filled with everything Raven and, most important, many new friendships and memories!
Meeting Raven is the most popular TV/film wish requested through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Raven is committed to the cause, having fulfilled 50 wishes since her show’s inception.
