A Magical Wedding Anniversary

Disneyland in Southern California is like a second home to me and my family. We know all the shortcuts between the Lands, where most of the hidden Mickeys are on the rides, and which lines move the fastest for each ride. Yet the Magic Kingdom always seems to hold more secrets than even we can keep up with.In 2005 as Disneyland was celebrating its 50th anniversary, our family was also celebrating a milestone: my Grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. We looked at many different venues to hold the event but as the party drew closer, Disneyland kept moving to the forefront of our minds. The only problem: where could we hold an event inside the Park that could accommodate 200 people?
The answer was simple. Disney's membership-only Club 33 would be the perfect place. The atmosphere of Main Street, U.S.A. and the fireworks outside the window, plus the celebration inside, tied together one of my grandparents' first visits to the Park together as a married couple with the life they were currently enjoying. The night was beautiful. Disney's subtle elegance, grace, and charm reminded us why we loved the Park, and it was the perfect setting for one of the most magical moments in my grandparents' life and in mine.
That night everyone could feel the happily ever after my grandparents had reached, the love of and for our family and the reality that dreams do come true. It was a night that nobody who was at that party will ever forget and it was will forever be imprinted on our hearts. If there is one thing Disney knows how to do, and do well, it is to bring families together to create memories that will be cherished forever.
