Walt Disney Records Captures the Magic of "Fantasia/2000"

Walt Disney Records proudly unveils its latest masterpiece, the new soundtrack recording of "Fantasia/2000." Building upon Walt Disney's bold 1940 experiment in sight and sound, "Fantasia/2000" comes to life in an all-new state-of-the-art recording containing seven new musical selections and one returning favorite from the 1940 classic. World-renowned conductor James Levine takes up the baton as he leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and London's 120-piece Philharmonia Orchestra through masterful performances of great works by Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Gershwin, and other immortal composers. The new CD continues the heritage of "Fantasia" -- what Walt Disney considered to be "an unending voyage of discovery in the realms of color, sound, and motion" -- and the audio excitement of Disney soundtrack recordings.
