Wallace Shawn

WALLACE SHAWN (Rex) reprises his role as the voice of this neurotic and insecure 12-inch plastic dinosaur. With his tender heart and weak spine, this tyrannosaurus is one of the most lovable toys of the bunch. He may be fearless when it comes to confronting the evil Emperor Zurg on the home video game, but he has some reservations about facing real danger when it's time to rescue Woody.

Shawn, one of the Industry's most recognizable character actors, has appeared in more than 40 films, although he began -- and continues -- as a writer. His film credits include Woody Allen's "Manhattan," "Radio Days," "Clueless," "The Princess Bride," "The Bostonians," "My Favorite Martian," "Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills," "The Hotel New Hampshire," and "The Moderns." In addition to voicing Rex, his distinctive voice has been heard in many animated projects, including Disney's "A Goofy Movie." His television credits include starring as Zek the Grand Nagus, leader of the Ferengi race, in the Paramount series "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and appearing as a series regular on such highly regarded television series as "Murphy Brown," "The Cosby Show," and "Taxi."
