 IAN RICHARDSON (Mr. Torte) is a classically trained actor who started his career with the Birmingham Repertory Company, where he played Hamlet, among other roles. He then joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1960, where he played most of the Shakespearean leading characters, both in Stratford-on-Avon and London, as well as touring extensively in Europe and the U.S.
In addition, he has appeared in numerous television and movie productions, including "Brazil," "Cry Freedom," "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," "The Fourth Protocol," and "Dark City" as well as miniseries such as "The House of Cards" trilogy, "The Magician's House," "Gormenghast," and "Dr. Bell and Mr. Doyle." In last year's animated feature "The King and I" he was the voice of Kralahome. His most recent movie, "From Hell," is due for release next year.
