 RON COOK (Mr. Burton) has enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an actor. His impressive list of motion picture credits include director Lasse Hallstrom's "Chocolate," Mike Leigh's "Topsy Turvy" and "Secrets and Lies," Andre Konchelovski's "The Odyssey," Peter Greenaway's "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover," "Turbulence," "Number One," and "The Magic Shop."
He spent a considerable amount of time concentrating and developing a series of one-man shows based on the novels of P.G. Wodehouse: "Right Ho, Jeeves" and "The Code of the Woosters."
Mr. Cook appeared in some of television's most notable productions. For the BBC he starred in "Tom Jones," "The Singing Detective," "Bergerac," "The Miser," "Richard III" (the title role), "Henry VI, Part I, II, and III," "The Young Ones," "Black Adder," "The Detectives," "Maigret," and "The Stars Look Down," among others. Additional television credits include "Thursday 12th," "Bramwell," "Girls on Top," "A Day to Remember," "The Boys from the Bush," "Sharpe's Honour," and "The Life of Will Shakespeare," among many others.
Mr. Cook's most auspicious stage credits include "Juno and the Paycock" (for which he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award), "Helpless," "Faith Healer," "Our Country's Good," "The Recruiting Officer," "Art," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Ecstasy," "Black Snow," "A Jovial Crew," "The Odyssey," "The Three Sisters," "The Crucible," "A Winter's Tale," "She Stoops to Conquer," "Cloud Nine," "'Tis Pity She's a Whore," and "The Arbour."
