		Much of The Princess Diaries was filmed on Stage 2 at The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, the same sound stage where Julie Andrews filmed Mary Poppins 37 years ago.
		Director Garry Marshall says he almost didn’t accept the job at first -- because of a typo in the script. "There was a typo on the title page which read 'The Princess Dairies.' I thought it was a movie about privileged cows!"
		Recording artist Mandy Moore makes her film acting debut as Mia’s nemesis, Lana, and also performs a tune, "Stupid Cupid." The film also marks star Anne Hathaway’s big screen debut.
		Whitney Houston is one of the film’s producers.
