Disney's Environmentality Challenge

Cayman Islands

Sponsored through a partnership with Disney Cruise Line and the Cayman Islands, Disney’s Environmentality Challenge is a fun way to turn everyday students into informed environmental heroes!

The two-part program consists of a Pledge (available to Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 classrooms) and a Class Project Competition (available to Year 6 classrooms only) that allows you to incorporate subjects like math, science and language arts into a learning experience that truly inspires young minds to get involved with protecting their environment.

Disney’s Environmentality Challenge is supported through partnerships with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, Department of the Environment and Department of Education.

Students earn FREE PRIZES AND DISNEY GIFTS just for participating, and completing a project could win your class a special day of fun with Jiminy Cricket aboard the Disney Magic cruise ship!

Completing the project is as easy as 1, 2, 3...

Use Content Standards in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics
Use a variety of curricula standards in your environmental project that incorporate mathematics, science, language arts, visual and performing arts, and social studies. Provide the students with information and resources to help them develop a conceptual understanding of the environmental topic they select. Once the environmental topic is selected, you and your students should do the following:
  • GO FOR A GOAL: Set one or more meaningful, challenging goals, and make sure they are realistic and measurable.
  • Get Everyone Involved: Lead the way to get friends, family, other students and the community to join in your mission.
  • Take Action: Once the goals are set, strive to accomplish them. Work as a team. Take things one step at a time. Above all, be proud of your accomplishments. You're making a difference!
  • Measure up: Measure your project outcomes and benefits to the environment. Quantify what you have accomplished.
