Welcome to The Disney Gallery, a unique experience at the Disneyland Resort.

The Disney Gallery opened to Guests on Saturday July 11, 1987. The Disney Gallery is located above the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction in New Orleans Square. The Gallery's intimately scaled rooms were originally meant to serve as an elegant apartment in which Walt Disney could entertain special Guests. Walt personally supervised the design of this "Royal Suite."

Although the space was never completed as originally envisioned, certain touches remain, such as the stylized initials WD and RD woven into the wrought ironwork of the balcony. The rooms are furnished and styled to suggest an antebellum home of Louisiana a century ago, resplendent with crystal chandeliers, hardwood floors, marble fireplaces and fine art.

Selected pieces from each exhibit will be reproduced in limited editions for purchase via Print on Demand.

"Walt Disney always wanted to have a gallery at Disneyland," says John Hench, Senior Vice President, Walt Disney Imagineering, and a represented artist in many of the past and present exhibits. "Now we have several decades of marvelous art to share with the public, art which was instrumental in turning Walt's dream for the Parks into a reality."
