Frequently Asked Questions

I have an older Disney album no longer in release. Can you tell me how much it is worth?

Walt Disney Records does not authenticate or appraise records, videos, laserdiscs, or DVDs. We recommend that you contact used record dealers in your local area that specialize in albums no longer available in circulation for that information. For Disneyana collectors, there are several books that should be helpful in locating, identifying, and pricing Disney collectibles: Munsey, Cecil, "Disneyana: Walt Disney Collectibles" (Hawthorn Books,1974) (out of print, but available in many libraries); Heide and Gilman, "Cartoon Collectibles" (Dolphin-Doubleday, 1983) "Tomart's Illustrated Disneyana Catalog and Price Guide, 6 vols." (Tomart Publications 1985-2007 -- Please note: the first five volumes are out of print and no longer available from Tomart. They can be found in many libraries, or search Amazon. The 6th edition can be found at Tomart Publications Online; Longest, David and Michael Stern, "The Collector's Encyclopedia of Disneyana" (Collector Books [P.O. Box 3009, Paducah, KY 42002-3009],1992) We are aware of a club that has been established for Disneyana collectors, though The Walt Disney Company does not sponsor it. The National Fantasy Fan Club holds a convention each year, publishes a periodic newsletter, and has local chapters around the country. Their mailing address is:
The National Fantasy Fan Club
P.O. Box 19212
Irvine, CA 92623-9212

Or a classified ad may be purchased in "FantasyLine Express," a monthly newsletter of the National Fantasy Fan Club. For further information, write to the above NFFC address, or send an email to info@nffc.org.
