The acrid smell of gunpowder, the pitch of a battle-roiled sea, the crackle of ancient magic... Welcome to the world of Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer.
This game pits pirate captain against pirate captain, armada against armada, and Guild against Guild for control of the Caribbean. Played on a mobile phone, the game allows you to set sail from wherever you are. And the play environment is ever-evolving, with new maps, new alliances and new missions to keep the gameplay fresh and challenging.
Game Features:
- Real-Time Multiplayer: Unlike most mobile games, Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer happens in real time. You'll experience action-filled gameplay, so your actions affect, and are affected by everything else that happens in this world.
- Cross-Carrier: Players who have major US wireless carrier service all have the ability to play in the Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer environment. Could the game go live in other parts of the world? Stranger things have happened....
- Best of Class Graphics: From phones with small screens and limited graphics, to the very top performers, the visuals of Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer come to life like no other mobile game. Details, like waves lapping the shore, ships recoiling after unleashing their cannons, and power-ups bobbing in the surf, were lovingly crafted to provide depth and interest to the playing experience.
- Support for a Mobile Community: Before setting sail as captain of your own pirate ship, you and other players kick off the game in a mobile tavern chat room, where they can meet friends, taunt enemies, discuss tactics, and review past victories. Advanced players can start and join Guilds, which are online mobile teams that can compete for dominance across game areas. Technology for out-of and in-game chat and short messages provide unprecedented inter-player communication. Buddy lists and blocked lists make it easy to locate friends and avoid the occasionally annoying pirate.
- Support for Hundreds of Thousands of Subscribers: The technology behind Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer is custom built to handle huge numbers of players simultaneously. The mobile community features can support hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Gameplay itself takes place within map instances of 2-16 players (depending on player choice).
- Dynamic Content: Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer is a subscription-based game and will offer fresh, updated content to players throughout their subscriptions. Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer will launch with 20 to 30 maps with which players can compete and collaborate.
- Web-Mobile Integration: The action of the Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer world will transpire on mobile devices, but much of the community of the game will take place on the Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer website. These two windows into the pirates world (device and web) will be linked in real time, so the website will change to reflect new and updated game features; shifting leader boards and Guild domination lists; and the growing mobile-online community.
- Persistent World Features: Although the game is designed to be easy to launch (3 clicks to set sail), there are a number of built-in features that will reward the longer-term player with unfolding content.
Examples:
- Boons can be earned by players for achieving various explicit and implicit goals. These Boons will increase the competition between experienced and skilled players, and allow players to customize their pirate abilities by determining which Boons to strive for.
- Certain Persistent World Features allow Guilds to win and control various areas of the Caribbean. The longer a particular Guild holds an area, the greater the Guild Boon. However, as the Boon increases, it becomes more difficult to defend that region from falling to other Guilds.
- Tutorials and Hints: To get players started, and to reveal more advanced tactics to players, Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer has a dynamic tutorial and hints system. Depending on how many times the player has sailed, fought or won, the game will deliver pre-game hints and tips.
