Ola! I will share with you a very sad story. My husband, Don Antonio de
Ulloa, wrote that he had orders to come to Louisiana and take possession
of the colony for Spain. He did not arrive until 1766 as the new Spanish
governor. This should have been a happy time for him, but it was not. The
French were not pleased that Louisiana had been given to Spain, and they
planned a revolution instead of a welcoming party for him.
