Maple's
Journey to Elizabeth's house
My fairy's name is Maple because she smelled of maple fresh out of a
maple tree. Her hair is pink like a beautiful pink rose blossoming in
the spring. She is wearing a lovely three layered skirt made of flower
petals taken from some of the most beautiful flowers in the world. She
lives in the forest deep in the heart of Scotland. Most of her friends
are animals.
Once she decided to take a trip to Central Park, and this is the story:
Early one morning Maple woke up and decided to go out to her mailbox
and check for any mail. When she got there she found a letter from her
dear friend Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a flower fairy who lived far away
in New York City, in a place called Central Park. She went right back
in her cottage to sit down and read her letter. Elizabeth told her all
about how she liked living in Central Park, and all the exciting things
there are to do there. Maple thought how nice it would be to go and visit
her friend in Central Park. So, she packed her bags and called for her
stork, Zippy and told him to take her to New York City.
When she arrived in Central Park, she said to herself, "Boy, this is
a cool city! Elizabeth wasn't kidding when she said it was fun to live
here. I hope I can find her house soon!" Maple tried to ask the squirrel
how to get to Elizabeth the Flower Fairy's house, but the squirrel said,
"Who the heck's Elizabeth?" Maple answered him, "Elizabeth is my friend,
she lives here in Central Park. Don't you know her?" "Listen your Fairiness,
there are tons a fairies here, how am I supposed to know where your little
fairy friend lives? Listen, why don't you go bother those pigeons over
there. They're real nosy, they know everything!"
Maple looked around, and there were no pigeons anywhere. So she said
to herself, "I guess I'm gonna have to find my way there all by myself
" She set out to find Elizabeth's house. As she was thinking about which
way to go, she suddenly spotted a little road. She decided to take the
road to see if it would lead her to her destination. She had been flying
for a couple miles, when she started to get hungry. She shouted, "Where
can I get some food?" Suddenly, a nice, warm, soft Fairy Scone fell out
of the sky, and landed right in the palm of her teeny fairy hand. She
thought, "This will satisfy me 'till dinner".
After eating her scone, she walked and walked along the path hoping
to find Elizabeth's house. She passed Fairy house after Fairy house, but
none were Elizabeth's. It was just starting to get dark, and Maple was
getting tired. She sat down on the curb, and thought to herself, "When
will I ever find Elizabeth's house? It is getting late, and I am getting
hungry again. I may possibly starve out here in the dark!" She went to
get up and hit her head on something hard. She turned around and saw that
it was a mailbox. The name on the mailbox was "Elizabeth the Flower Fairy"
Maple was so excited that she ran into the house and said, "I'm finally
here!" Elizabeth was glad to see her friend Maple after all these years.
She made her dinner and showed her to her room. Maple had a wonderful
vacation and is now safe and sound in her home in Scotland.
