For the Love of Children: 25 Years of Happenings at Sundance School Each spring, children at Sundance School experience a land of enchantment and wonder. The school closes in April for an additional week of spring vacation, in order for the staff to exchange pencils and glue for hammers and ladders. The Happening is about to begin. This yearly extravaganza is a labor of love created by school founders Jeff and Ginny Tobey, Happening Coordinator Agnes Arakelian, and a creative, hardworking group comprised of the school's teachers, assistants and parent volunteers. Sundance, a school for children ages 2 to 8, is unique in many ways. Children as young as 2 ½ years of age change classes, which allows staff to specialize in readiness, art, music, movement, reading, math, gym, science, cooking and more.
