Mighty Tarzan tests his wits, prowess, and ability as the new leader of the gorilla family and as a "civilized" guy alongside his lady-love, Jane, in hilarious comedy mishaps, astonishing discoveries, and dazzling, action-packed adventures in "Disney's The Legend of Tarzan." Based upon Edgar Rice Burroughs' immortal adventure classic "Tarzan of the Apes," and produced by Walt Disney Television Animation, the new, 39-episode animated series premieres September 3 on UPN and in syndication (check local listings).
Picking up where Disney's 1999 box-office hit "Tarzan" left off, Tarzan is reunited with his animal family while assuming greater responsibilities as the successor to the strong and noble Kerchak. As Lord of the Jungle, a more mature Tarzan realizes he must protect and defend not only the wildlife, but also the jungle itself from the encroachments of the human world.
