2005 Team All-Star Winners When Hillary H. and her brothers saw photos of the aftermath of the tsunami that hit Southeast Asia last December, they wanted to help. So they came up with the idea of putting together kits with soap, towels and toothpaste for people who had lost everything. The three of them formed a nonprofit organization, called Color My World, and now are working on an anti-tobacco campaign.

Q. How did you start your project?

Hillary: We went into our classrooms at school and asked for supplies. Then we went to our church and asked if they would give donations.

Q. What was your favorite part of the project?

Hillary: When we had to bring all of the stuff in. It was really amazing because we got buckets and buckets of items. We only thought we'd get a hundred, but people gave us 900 kits. We had to dump it all out, count it to make sure we had enough and then put them in bags. We then sent them to our church's humanitarian center, and they sent them off to Southeast Asia for us.

Q. What advice can you give to other kid volunteers?

Hillary: Stick with it - it's really fun. It helps you think about others and make a difference in the world or your community.
