OTHER VOICES IN TOY STORY Andy John Charles Morris, 11, is the voice of Woody's best friend and owner, Andy. It's inside his bedroom that the toys come to life. Morris' first Disney film was "The Nightmare Before Christmas." He has been seen in national commercials and "Unsolved Mysteries," and done voice-overs for television, radio, and CD-ROM software. Morris also appears in the film "Copy Cat."
Erik Von Detten is the voice of that vicious boy who lives next door to Andy and tortures toys. Von Detten was seen in the films "Amanda" and "Top Dog"; in the television movies-of-the-week "Escape to Witch Mountain," "A Season of Hope," and "In the Line of Duty: Taxman"; and on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives."
Laurie Metcalf is the calm voice of reason in
"Toy Story." As Andy's mom, it is she who moves the toys
to panic when she changes the date of the birthday party.
Metcalf is perhaps best known for her work on the ABC series
"Roseanne." Her film work includes "JFK," "Internal Affairs,"
"Desperately Seeking Susan," "Blink," "Making Mr. Right,"
"Mistress," "Pacific Heights," "Uncle Buck," "Stars and Bars,"
"A Dangerous Woman," and "Miles from Home." "It's very, very funny, and has a heart to it which is
typical of Disney."
