How much does it cost to vote?
  1. Toll-Free Voting: Telephone calls to Make Your Mark: Shake It Up Dance Off voting lines are toll-free from landlines. If you use a wireless phone to call the voting lines, airtime and applicable roaming and long distance charges may apply. Make sure to check with your parent or guardian first! Contact your cell phone service provider if you want to know how much you will be charged if calling the toll-free lines.
  2. Text Voting: If you vote via text, the cost of voting varies depending on your wireless text messaging package. You will be charged for each message sent from and received by your wireless device, regardless of delivery and including invalid votes cast outside of the specified time period.
  3. Online Voting: Online Voting is free except for your standard internet access charges or data charges if you are using a web browser on your mobile device.
I couldn't get through to the lines or all I get is a busy signal when I call -- why?
Be patient! Although the telephone system is designed to handle large volumes of calls there may be times (especially just after the show) when it will not be able to handle every call due to the volume and you will hear a busy signal or operator fault message. If you are calling during the valid voting window but can't get through to cast your vote, try again, and dial carefully.

If you hear the busy signal, it could also mean you are calling outside of the voting window. When your voting window closes, lines will switch from a 'thank you for voting' message to a busy signal.
How many times can I vote?
Online votes are limited to five (5) per person/email address.
SMS votes are limited to five (5) per cell phone number.
Toll-Free phone votes are limited to five (5) per person per phone line.
How do I know my vote has been counted?
  1. Toll-Free Voting: If you are calling to cast your vote, your vote will count if you hear the "thanks for voting" message.
  2. Text Voting: If you are voting by the text, your vote(s) will count if you receive a "thanks for voting" confirmation message per Contestant voted for. You will receive only one "thanks for voting" text confirmation message for each Contestant you vote for during a voting period, regardless of how many times you vote. Your text vote was not sent successfully if your handset reads 'message not sent.'
  3. Online Voting: If you are voting online at disneychannel.com/danceoff, you will receive a "thanks for voting" confirmation message page after each vote. If you vote online, only your first five votes will count. After your fifth vote, no further votes will count for that performance show even though you will continue to see the "thanks for voting" page.
What will I hear if I call the toll-free numbers?
Outside of the valid vote window you will hear a busy signal and your vote will not count. At the end of the show voting begins and phone lines will be opened. During the valid vote window you will hear a pre-recorded message thanking you for voting. The same message will play out on all contestants numbers. When the window closes, no more votes will be accepted and toll-free lines will play out a busy signal.
How many times can I vote via toll free phone, and can people power dial or unfairly influence the outcome?
You can vote up to 5 times per originating phone number. If you keep calling you will still hear a 'thanks for voting' message but your votes will NOT count. Don't worry! We will have in place monitoring procedures designed to prevent individuals from unfairly influencing the outcome of the voting by generating significant blocks of votes using technical enhancements. The producers reserve the right to remove any identified 'power dialing' votes.
Can I send multiple text votes in a single message?
You can text in a vote up to five times. If you do not receive a "thanks for voting" confirmation message (one per contestant you vote for) then your vote will not count and you should try again.
