Wondering what to do if you contact Member
Services and are unable to secure the reservations you want? You
do have options. Before contacting us, be sure to have alternate
choices selected. Alternate dates, resorts, and/or accommodations
can assist you in your efforts to secure a reservation. However,
if you need a specific reservation that is unavailable to you, you
may ask to be placed on our wait list. Here's how it works:
- Your request will remain on the wait
list for up to 31 days before your arrival date. If you would
like to keep your name on the wait list beyond that time, please
contact Member Services, and we'll extend your request to seven
days before check-in. There is no wait list within seven days
of arrival.
- If your wait list request becomes available
more than 60 days before your arrival date, Member Services can
secure it for you automatically. Just let the Vacation Advisor
who's placing you on the wait list know you want "automatic
confirmation." And if it's necessary to borrow Vacation Points
to secure your reservation, make sure you authorize Member Services
to do that as well.
- Please make sure you have given Member
Services the daytime telephone number where you can be reached
most often. If your request becomes available we will contact
you immediately, and we will hold your room only until the close
of the next business day.
- As a courtesy, we ask that you contact
Member Services if you no longer wish to be on the wait list.
We'll remove your name and give the slot to another Member.
- And finally, there is no need to contact
us once your request has been placed on the wait list. We'll let
you know the moment something becomes available to you.
FYI
Because of high demand during certain periods, "Special Seasons"
Preference Lists may be established at one or at all Disney Vacation
Club Resorts. These lists provide Members an equal opportunity
to make reservations during these periods of high demand. Currently,
there are no "Special Seasons" Preference Lists in place
at any of the resorts. If a "Special Seasons" Preference
List is established, you will be notified.
Consider some other options
Since being on our wait list does not guarantee
you a vacation spot, you may want to consider other options. Can
you change your arrival/departure dates by a day or two? Can you
use a different accommodation size? Think it over, and let us know.
Better still, have second and third choices lined up before contacting
Member Services. This way you'll have a better chance of securing
your vacation plans upfront.
